OVERVIEW

Dr. Amanda K. Kibler is an Associate Professor in the College of Education at Oregon State University. Her scholarship focuses on understanding the language and literacy development of multilingual children and adolescents from immigrant backgrounds and supporting educators in providing more equitable learning opportunities for K-12 students. She is this year’s Distinguished Research Award Recipient.

KEYNOTE TOPIC

Her keynote is titled: “Thinking Better Together: How to Make the Most of Professional Collaboration as a Graduate Student in TESOL.” In her talk, she reflects on a variety of professional experiences — including her own, as well as those of her colleagues and former students, and describes ways in which collaboration can improve your development as a TESOL researcher and/or teacher.
